Our parents are at the core of what makes Treamis so special. The strength of our community lies in the ideas, time and energy that our families dedicate as volunteers. Treamis relies on our parents to become involved.
The most important thing about becoming involved is that you are playing a part in making this the best possible educational experience for all our children.
The PTO is a nonprofit parent-teacher organization whose membership includes all parents, legal guardians and academic staff at school. It seeks to build a strong community of parents, students and faculty to enrich our children's school experience. The PTO brings into closer relation the home and the school to cooperate in the education of children.
The purposes of Treamis PTO are to:

Promote open communication and understanding between parents and staff of the School.

Foster the concept of parent involvement in child's school education.

Sponsor assistance to teachers in classroom setting, and support school and family social interaction. Volunteer classroom parents assist classroom teachers with field trips and other special events.
Parents are encouraged to attend the meetings and volunteer for the various activities that are planned.

The PTO also supports the school and the families through activities, such as parent education lecture series and special events like the Potluck and Picnic.

Volunteering - Spirit of Cooperation
Members of the community are encouraged and welcome to participate as volunteers to help meet the needs of students. You can give one hour a month or you can make a long-term commitment. It is a great way to meet other parents and staff, and become a integral part of our community. Excellence in public education is best achieved through a shared vision and cooperative effort of students, their family, staff and the community.
