Parents and members of the community are encouraged
and welcome to participate as volunteers to help meet the needs of students. Treamis recognizes that parent associations,
booster clubs, advisory and academic councils, school improvement committees are mediums through which parents and other community
members may strengthen ties with the school and work to enhance educational progress for all students. Our parents are at the core of what makes Treamis so special. The strength of our community lies in the ideas,
time and energy that our families dedicate as volunteers. Treamis relies on our parents to become involved. You can give one
hour a month or you can make a long-term commitment. It is a great way to meet other parents and staff, and become a integral
part of our community.
The most important thing about becoming involved
is that you are playing a part in making this the best possible educational experience for all our children. Parent - Teacher Association The
PTA (Parent-Teacher Association) is the parent organization for the School. It seeks to build a strong communicty of parents,
students and faculty to enrich our children's school experience. The PTA is a partner of public
education, bringing into closer relation the home and the school to cooperate in the education of children and youth. All parents are automatically members of the PTA and are encouraged to attend the meetings and volunteer for the
various activities that are planned. The PTA supports the school and the families through a variety of activities, such
as parent education lecture series and special events like the Pottluck and Picnic. In addition to all the volunteer
activities, a PTA member can become class room parent. Volunteer room parents assist classroom teachers with field trips and
other special events.
