The students and the children held hands, played games, sang, lit fire crackers and ate together. They told stories and described the countries they came from. While lighting the diwali diyas (candles), everyone offered prayer for peace, harmony and progress for one and all.
Treamis students learnt the life in orphanage from the children. The scene was emotional as the students bid goodbye and boarded the bus. Neev, the 9th grade student said "Life is tough. But it’s tougher when you don’t have parents, or even the basic necessities of life. For most of us who are lucky, we don’t actually realize how tough life can actually be".
