TREAMIS World School again reconfirms its commitment to bringing world class, global education to Bangalore by joining hands
with
Lake Forest Academy, Illinois, USA. TREAMIS is partnering with LFA to develop teaching methodology and curriculum for high school and to provide
the very best in residential services for next year.
Established in 1857, the prestigious LFA is host to students from around the world. In a world of ever diminishing global
boundaries, LFA shares with TREAMIS a vision of global pluralism and a passion for the pursuit of excellence in international
education.
Dr John Strudwick, Head of School, LFA says of the alliance with TREAMIS: "LFA provides a world class education to high school
students from all around the world. LFA is partnering with TREAMIS to extend its teaching skills, learning environment and
expertise to Bangalore. Through an exchange of teachers, students, and information on technology and pedagogy, TREAMIS and
LFA will promote an innovative, forward-thinking and relevant high school within the context of modern globalization"
Leveraging LFA’s vast expertise, TREAMIS is developing US high school curriculum for the coming year. The alliance
between the schools will facilitate the exchange of teaching methodology, information, teachers and students, corresponding
to TREAMIS’s mission to create an authentic international learning environment. TREAMIS high school students will
be offered the option of studying for a month or a semester at LFA. LFA students, meanwhile, are invited to study in Bangalore,
enabling them to experience Indian culture first hand, and fostering an ideal of international cooperation and teamwork within
the context of a uniquely global learning environment.
Dr Krishna Jayayaram, Vice Chairman of TREAMIS states: "TREAMIS and Lake Forest Academy will create an ideal learning environment
through which the students become competitive and are educated for knowledge creation and leadership".
LFA experience will also be leveraged by TREAMIS in the opening of the school’s residential facility, available to students
as of next year. TREAMIS and LFA values and philosophy will remain at the core of the residential service, ensuring a progressive
and child-friendly environment, in which staff are considered friends and mentors to children. As in the case of day students,
residential students can be assured of a home-away-from-home experience, as TREAMIS seeks to ensure the all-round development
and well- being of each child.
