Boarding

Built in a peaceful setting within the school grounds, yet only a stone’s throw from the school’s central facilities, the self- contained, purpose-built residence halls provide a wonderful opportunity for Treamis students to experience a greater degree of independence and privacy.

In response to the challenges of increasingly busy family lives, Treamis provides a flexible and caring second home,  Residence halls are available to both weekly and full-time boarders. Weekly boarders stay in the residence halls from Monday through Friday and return home on weekends. Full-time boarders reside on campus for full semesters and return home during breaks from academic year.

Starting from grade 3, students are eligible to live on campus. Treamis encourages local students, grades 9 and above, to stay in the residence hall as weekly boarders. Residence hall offers after-school tutoring. By staying in residence hall students can save daily travel time, study in teams and work on team projects. Availing these features help students focus on the academics.

Residence halls have single, double, triple and quadruple bed rooms. Boys and girls are housed in separate buildings.

The residence halls are modern, comfortable places for students to study, socialize and relax. As adult mentors, the residence hall staff provide the daily support needed to meet academic, emotional and social needs of the students.

Why is weekly boarding beneficial to local students?
  1. Time spent productively: Weekly boarding eliminates unproductive and stressful travel time to and from school.
  2. Access to resources: Students have access to resources such as the library, computer lab and athletic complexes which they can use on weekdays after school hours.
  3. Promoting self-discipline: Our boarders learn independence, time-management skills and responsibility. With guidance and support from house parents, they learn how to balance academic work with social time. Adhering to a schedule of activities will help them develop a sense for self-discipline as they grow up.
  4. Encouraging environment - Students meet new types of people, find their place in a new community and learn new skills. This means that students often experience a lot of personal growth and increased self-confidence.
  5. Forming friendships - Dorm mates become close friends and serve as a support network for each other. Students not only have class together, but do homework, eat, and have social activities together. Additionally, because Treamis recruits students from all over the world, students will gain exposure to diverse individuals and cultures. The friendships that students make in this environment will aid in their personal development and be ones they will remember for life.
  6. Keep connected with the family - Weekly boarders leave campus for home on Friday after the school and return on Monday morning so they can spend the weekends with their family.
