IGCSE Grades 9 and 10
IGCSE, designed as a two year curriculum programme provides a foundation for high level courses such as the North American Advanced Placement Test (APT), International Baccalaureate (IB); GCE or International 'A' levels and the Advanced International Certificate of Education (AICE).
- IGCSE offers a wider range of subjects and encourages practical approach to teaching and learning.
- The assessment has an eight-point grading scale, from A+ to G, with A+ being the highest. These grades are determined by a combination of work done in school during the course, called coursework, and a series of final examinations.
- Most subjects offer a choice between core curriculum and extended curriculum. The core curriculum is an overview of the subject and is suitable for students who are expected to achieve grades C to G. The extended curriculum is, sort of, a specialization in that subject. It is challenging and designed for students who are expected to achieve grades A+ to C.
- IGCSE is tailored for a more multi-cultural and more multi-lingual audience.

International A Level Grades 11 and 12
International A Level syllabus has been created specifically for an international audience. The content is carefully devised to avoid any cultural bias. International A Level examination sessions occur twice a year in June and November with results issued in August and January respectively. It uses a wide range of assessment processes and techniques to supplement formal written examinations - orals, practicals, projects and coursework of differing types are all used in various subjects where they are the most effective and appropriate means of measuring attainment.
Each subject that a Cambridge international student takes at A Level receives a separately certificated grade. International A Level is reported on a grade scale from A* grade, awarded for the highest level of achievement, to E, indicating the minimum required performance.
Good International A Level grades can be a key to admission for all the world's major anglophone universities. University course credit and advanced standing is often available in countries such as the USA and Canada. Good grades in carefully chosen International A Level subjects can result in up to one full year of credit.
