January 21: Chinmaya Aditya (Grade 7) of the Treamis Astronomy Club took initiative in organizing 'Evening Sky Observation' at Shobha Daffodils apartment Kudlu Gate. More than 200 families of the aparment complex were eagerly waiting to see celestial bodies through telescope. The Astronomy Club members and its mentor Prashant Mishra carried a powerful 4" reflector telescope along with some powerful binoculars.
The program started with a question and answer session on astronomy followed by watching craters of moon, jupiter's moon and its color bands and some star clusters. Most of the residents had never seen moon or jupiter so close. They were mesmerized by the view. One of the ladies who was fascinated by seeing such a close view of moon said "I wish I could see moon like this on every Karva Chauth before opening my fast". The event was appreciated by one and all.
