November 12: Children’s Day (actual day Nov. 14, birthday of India’s first Prime Minister Nehru) was celebrated at Treamis by the teachers. Teachers entertained students by singing and dancing. Teachers who encourage the development of talents among children exhibited their own talents.
First it was Mrs. Sriranjini, CIE Chemistry teacher who enthralled the audience by her sweet voice singing a classical Hindi song. This was followed by a bollywood dance by teachers from preschool, primary and middle schools. This number bowled over every student in the audience. The talent did not stop there. Here comes Mr. Herman Carduz, the French teacher and his team comprising of all the staff members presenting a musical orchestra… but with a difference; the band had vegetables and not musical instruments. And strange enough they made every one sing and dance with the music played by them!! The teachers unleashed the myriad hues of their youthfulness.
The day was concluded with the distribution of cakes and goodies to children.
